Be tough...

Sometimes you get an idea when you see a new set of stamps but for God knows what reason you just don't get it done immediately. But it sticks in your mind and this project was one of those. I knew what I wanted to make but for some reason I just kept making other projects first... until today ^.^
That circle stamps from the 'Shape it up' set needed to be pushed in drying texture paste!
I know it's not all that clear but you get a 3D circle with all the lines pushed down into it, I love it.
I used the Ranger texture paste so no problem to take out my watercolors to add some color ^.^
And when my circle was ready...it was just getting my ideas onto my paper.

Soms krijg je meteen een idee als je een nieuwe set stempels ziet maar voor God weet welke reden maak je het niet meteen.  Maar het blijft in je hoofd zitten en dit project was er zo eentje.  Ik wist wat ik wilde maken maar om een of andere reden maakte ik eerst andere projecten... tot vandaag ^.^
De cirkel uit de 'Shape it up' set moest gewoon in drogende textuur pasta geduwd worden!
Ik weet dat het moeilijk te zien is op de foto maar je krijgt dus eigenlijk een 3D cirkel met de lijnen erin geduwd als textuur en het ziet er super uit in het echt.
Ik gebruikte de Ranger textuur pasta dus het was super makkelijk om er met mijn aquarelverf was kleur op te zetten.
En eens mijn cirkel klaar was... kon ik aan de slag om mijn hoofd leeg te maken op mijn papier.

En je kent me alvast wel al goed genoeg om te weten dat ik ook altijd een woord gebruik om mijn gedachten van mijn project te bundelen.

It always feels so good when I can get my head blank and just create what I feel needs to be made...

Heerlijk is het als je je hoofd leeg kan maken en gewoon kan creëren wat je nodig hebt...

Life can be tough

Be somebody...

Every single time... I look forward in seeing the new words that come with new released stamp sets from Visible image. And just look at these... every single time there are words that go further than just a hello, or happy birthday! I just love how there are so many words that build someone up or get inside my mind and make me think and feel.

And then there are the images going with the words... making it possible to get those feelings and thoughts down to paper...

Elke keer opnieuw... kijk ik er naar uit om te ontdekken welke nieuwe woorden er bij de nieuwe stempelsets van Visible Image komen. En kijk nu naar deze... elke keer opnieuw zijn er woorden die verder gaan dan een simpele hallo of gelukkige verjaardag! Ik vind het zalig dat er zoveel woorden zijn die iemand een hart onder de riem steken, iemand opbouwen, die in mijn hoofd gaan zitten en me laten nadenken en voelen.

En dan zijn er de afbeeldingen die bij de woorden komen... en die maken het dan helemaal mogelijk om alles op papier te krijgen...

Isn't it a beauty this mushroom. He's just perfect for the caterpillar that comes with the set but look at him just on it's own... making cards for fall won't be hard this year ^.^

But first this tag on which I had a play with my watercolors and my Inktense pencils and where it's all about the words...

En hoe mooi is deze paddenstoel? Hij is perfect voor de rups die bij deze set hoort maar zo helemaal op zijn eentje is hij ook gewoon perfect. Kaarten maken rond thema herfst wordt helemaal niet moeilijk dit jaar ^.^

Maar eerst maar gewoon een tag waarbij ik aan de slag ging met mijn aquarelverf en Inktense potloden en waarbij de nadruk ligt op de woorden...

When I looked at the Count me in stencil, I really wanted to get one number to stand out of the rest. And I think I have found a way that I love.
When you put texture paste through the stencils, it's actually the negative space that is raised and the numbers are sitting in between the texture paste.

Toen ik naar het 'Count me in' stencil keek , wou ik er heel graag één cijfer laten uitspringen. En ik denk dat ik een manier heb gevonden waar ik heel blij mee ben. 
Als je textuur pasta door het stencil aanbrengt, dan is het net het negatieve deel dat verhoogd wordt en de cijfers blijven open liggen tussen de pasta in.

So I started out by laying down some color, then added the paste which I gave some color when dried too.  I then colored in my special number 5 using a fine liner that is waterproof. And then very carefully filled in my number using glossy accents, giving it a glass look...

Ik begon met wat kleur op mijn tag, bracht dan de textuurpasta aan en kleurde dat ook eens het droog was. Daarna kleurde ik mijn speciale nummer 5 in met een waterbestendige fine liner. En daarna vulde ik mijn nummer heel voorzichtig in met glossy accents wat het een glas effect gaf...

 All it needed now was some metal wire and some words that emphasized what this number means to me and I found them in the Mother Definition stamp.
5 is without a doubt a very special number to me and I even was very happy to find it 2 times more so close to the big one. Finding 3 times 5 makes this tag even more special to me...

Het enige wat ik nu nog wou toevoegen was wat metaaldraad en een paar woorden die echt benadrukten wat dit nummer voor mij betekend en die vond ik in de 'Mother Definition' stempel.
5 is zonder twijfel een heel speciaal nummer voor mij en ik was ook super blij toen ik het nog twee keer super dichtbij vond. Drie keer een 5 vinden maakte het net nog iets specialer...

Now I made this tag using this 'technique' but just imagine how many birthday cards can be made this way.  There are so many possible combinations... Going from left to right in one single line I already see 43-44-45-59-94-42-27-23-30 Anyone needs a card for someone turning that age?  Have fun trying it out!

Ik koos er voor om een tag te maken met deze 'techniek' maar stel je eens voor hoeveel verjaardagskaarten je zo kan maken. Er zijn zoveel mogelijke combinaties.  Als ik gewoon al op één lijn van links naar rechts ga vind ik al: 43-44-45-59-94-42-27-23-30  Iemand die een verjaardagskaart moet maken voor iemand die deze leeftijd bereikt?  Veel plezier bij het uitproberen!

Your mistakes...

Of course it was the hummingbird that was the first thing I saw when this new set 'Life is beautiful' was released over at Visible Image, but it was that circle that kept drawing my attention to it. So for today's project I have inked it up and I combined it with some beautiful words.
No difficult techniques, just having a play with my bister and some coloring but that's all these stamps need ^.^
I had my camera rolling and I have it low speed so you can see the magic happen with the bister ^.^

Natuurlijk sprong de hummingbird meteen in het oog toen ik deze stempelset de eerste keer zag. Alleen was het wel de cirkel die mijn aandacht bleef trekken. Dus werd hij van inkt voorzien voor het project van vandaag en werd hij gecombineerd met prachtige woorden.
Geen moeilijke technieken, gewoon wat spelen met bister en wat inkleuren maar deze stempels hebben niet meer nodig volgens mij.
Ik had de camera terug aan staan en ik laat alles iets trager dan normaal zien zodat jullie goed zien hoe de bister reageert ^.^ Veel plezier!

It's Sunday so that means I get to share some Visible Image inspiration again today. For today's project I had some fun with the Baby bloom stencil and yes, I looked at it the same way as I looked at the 'Bloom and grow' stamp set RIGHT HERE  A beautiful stencil with a beautiful flower that can easily be used on itself.
I used some texture paste through the stencil to have my little flower raised on my project and then colored it in using my DIY Inktense travelset and some regular watercolors.

Het is zondag wat wil zeggen dat ik terug wat Visible Image inspiratie met jullie kan delen. Voor mijn project vandaag ging ik aan de slag met het Baby bloom stencil en inderdaad, ik had een gelijkaardig idee als toen ik aan de slag ging met de 'Bloom and grow' stempel set voor DIT PROJECT. Ook dit is een stencil met een hele mooie bloem die heel makkelijk op zichzelf kan gebruikt worden.
Ik heb voor dit project wat texture pasta door het stencil aangebracht om mijn bloem wat verhoogd op mijn project te krijgen en daarna kleurde ik het met mijn DIY Inktense travelset aangevuld met wat gewone aquarelverf.

And of course what better word than 'grow' for this project from the set 'Into the woods'. You can see it has lines around it but I wanted to stamp it inside a home rusted paper clip. So I stamped it without the lines and there is a very easy trick to do so which I show you in the video in THIS BLOGPOST

En welk woord past natuurlijk beter voor dit project dan 'grow' uit de Into the woods set. Je kan zien dat dit origineel lijnen heeft  maar ik wilde het in een zelf geroeste paperclip stempelen. Dus heb ik het zonder de lijnen gestempeld en dat is super makkelijk met een trukje dat ik je laat zien in de video in  DEZE BLOGPOST

I've got this feeling I'll be using this flower more than once ^.^

Ik heb het stille vermoeden dat ik deze bloem nog wel vaker ga gebruiken ^.^

When I first saw the Grungy Union Jack stencil from Visible Image I knew how I wanted to use it.  Yes you are right... it was a part of that stencil that got my attention ^.^ And today I finally went ahead and got that idea onto paper.
Then to choose a word that I already knew needed to go in the middle of my stencil. I choose determined... yes I'm determined to...

Toen ik deze Grungy Union Jack stencil zag van Visible Image wist ik meteen hoe ik het wou gebruiken.  Helemaal juist... het was een deeltje dat mijn aandacht trok ^.^ En vandaag ging ik eindelijk aan de slag om dat idee uit te werken.
En dan een woord kiezen om er op te verwerken wan tik wist dat er in het midden een woord moest komen.  Ik koos determined (vastberaden)... ja ik ben vastberaden om...

DIY Inktense travel set...

I have been doubting for a while but now they are here... the complete tin of 72 Inktense blocks.  A long time ago I decided not to go ahead and buy complete sets as most of the time there are many colors I don't use. You know I'm not a bright yellow person or any bright color really ^.^.  But with a little project in the back of my mind I went ahead and bought them anyway.
Now the only problem: it's a BIG tin and I know I mostly will be using only a small part of those colors so I wanted a solution for that.  I wanted to be able to only take out those colors without having to take out the complete tin while creating. And I have found a perfect solution for me...
And of course I have made a little video, have fun!

Ik twijfelde al een hele tijd maar ze zijn toch aangekocht... de volledige doos van 72 Inktense blocks. Een hele tijd geleden besloot ik al om geen volledige sets te kopen aangezien daar heel vaak gewoon ook kleuren in zitten die ik bijna nooit gebruik. Jullie weten dat ik geen fel gele meid ben of eigenlijk geen enkele felle kleur ^.^ Maar met een klein project in mijn achterhoofd ging ik toch overstag en kocht ik ze aan.
Nu is het enige probleem: het is een GROOT blik en ik weet dat ik eigenlijk vooral een klein deel van de kleuren ga gebruiken dus daar zocht ik een oplossing voor.  Ik wou gewoon in staat zijn om enkel die kleuren bij mij te nemen zonder elke keer gans die doos naast me te moeten zetten. En ik heb een oplossing gevonden die perfect werkt voor mij... 
En natuurlijk heb ik er een video over gemaakt, veel plezier!

If you could turn back time... how would today look like? Would it be the same, or would you change things in the past that makes today could look completely different. But be careful... it's not only the bad things that change... your changes might just have its influence on the good things you have today too.

Als je de klok kon terug draaien... hoe zou je dag vandaag er dan uit zien? Net hetzelfde als nu, of zou je dingen in je verleden aanpassen waardoor vandaag er helemaal anders zou uitzien?  Voorzichtig... het zijn niet enkel de slechte dingen die veranderen, je wijzigingen hebben onrechtstreeks misschien wel een invloed op alle goede dingen in je leven ook.

This beautiful butterfly and those thoughtful words are Visible Image stamps. And the coloring is a combination of Derwent Inktense and my beloved watercolors.

Own kind of beautiful

It probably is no surprise when I say that I just love this stamp set...

Het is echt geen verrassing als ik zeg dat ik helemaal gek ben van deze stempelset.

I didn't use it on today's project but it was in my mind when I went and had some relaxing fun with the Shadow skull stencil.  Those words...just keep coming back inside my mind ^.^
So first I started out using my Inktense pencils and some watercolors. Just by tracing the stencil and having some fun coloring I ended up with this very simple tag.  But yet .. I love how it turned out.

Ik gebruikte het niet op mijn project vandaag maar het zat wel in mijn achterhoofd toen ik gewoon wat plezier had met de Shadow skull stencil.  De woorden blijven gewoon in mijn achterhoofd zitten ^.^  Als we het hebben over ontspannen dan hebben we het over aquarelverfjes en ik nam er ook mijn Inktense potloden bij. En dan gewoon het stencil omlijnen met de potloden en gaan ontspannen bij het kleuren en blenden... Een hele simpele tag maar voor mij persoonlijk gewoon een rustig en heerlijk moment met een resultaat waar ik blij van werd.

And then I wondered how it would look in a more mixed media version... So I layed down some texture in the stencil. And it might not be really very easy to see, but i have cut out the eye and the nose... I wanted some depth in those holes.

En toen werd ik wel benieuwd hoe het er uit zou komen te zien in een meer mixed media versie... Dus heb ik verschillende lagen textuur aangebracht in de stencil. En het is niet echt heel zichtbaar op de foto's maar het oog en de neusholte sneed ik er uit zodat mijn blauwe kleur iets dieper zou liggen.

And again... just pure relaxation and having fun. The same stencil but a completely different result...

En gewoon opnieuw relaxen en genieten.  Net hetzelfde stencil maar een totaal ander resultaat...

Skull shadow

Breathe - You can't...

It has been a while but finally I have made another page in my personal art journal Breathe.  And it felt so good to finally work in there again.  If you don't know what this art journal is about, you can find it RIGHT HERE And if you want to follow it, just use the label on the sidebar to find all my pages I'll make in it.
On this page I have shown a piece of the text but a part of it is hidden again... so that little part wasn't filmed but everything else was ...

Het is heel lang geleden maar ik heb eindelijk terug een pagina gemaakt in mijn persoonlijke art journal Breathe. En dat voelde zo goed om daar eindelijk terug aan de slag te gaan. Wie niet meteen weet wat ik met mijn Breathe project bedoel kan HIER KLIKKEN om meer te lezen. En wie graag wil volgen wat ik daarin maak kan in de zijbalk op het label Breathe alles volgen.
Voor deze pagina opnieuw een deeltje tekst zichtbaar en een deeltje dat enkel voor mij bestemd is... dus dat deeltje is niet gefilmd maar al de rest wel ...

First time I used this color and I love how it granulated a bit on me and I especially loved how well it worked with my inktense pencils, the tickets were made using the Sizzix Mini Filmstrip & Mini Tickets.

Het was de eerste keer dat ik dit kleur van aquarelverf gebruikte en ik vond het super hoe het een beetje granuleerde en vooral hoe goed de kleur samen ging met mijn inktense potloden, de tickets voor de verborgen tekst zijn gemaakt met de Sizzix Mini Filmstrip & Mini Tickets.

 Now to find some time and create some more in my art journal as I still have loads of things I want to see in there.

Nu terug even op zoek naar wat tijd om te gaan journallen want ik heb nog heel wat dingen die ik daarin wil zien.

Inktense Visible Image love...

It's my turn to share a project over at Visible Image and would like to share some Inktense Visble image love ^.^  I loved combining the Visible Image stamps together this way. And I tried out the inktense colorpencils for the very first time on this card.
Curious on how I brought the 3 stamps together and how I used the pencils? I have put it all in this liddle video tutorial for you...

Vandaag is het mijn beurt om een projectje te laten zien in de groep van Visible Image en vandaag laat ik mijn Inktense Visible Image liefde zien ^.^ Ik vond het super om drie stempels te combineren op dit kaartje. Nadien ging ik voor de eerste keer aan de slag met Inktense potloden.
Benieuwd hoe je de stempels samen brengt en hoe ik de Inktense potloden testte? Ik heb het allemaal gefilmd voor jullie ...

I'm pretty sure you will see more cards like these show up.  Maybe even recognize part of it in my Christmas cards ( I really have to get started I know 👀 ) But for now it's this one...as we can never say "I love you" enough.

Ik ben er vrij zeker van dat jullie nog vaker kaartjes zoals deze te zien krijgen. Misschien herkennen jullie zelfs een deeltje in mijn kerskaarten ( waar ik dringend aan moet beginnen 👀) Maar vandaag is het gewoon dit kaartje, omdat je nooit ' Ik zie je graag' te veel kan zeggen.
