How fragile are we...

It always amazes me how, by just switching the two last words from place, you get (well I get) a completely different feeling. And depending on what the feeling is that is racing inside of me I'll choose one or the other...

Elke keer als ik naar deze woorden kijk dan verbaast het me hoe, door twee woorden van plaats te verwisselen je twee verschillende ladingen krijgt in een zin met dezelfde vier zinnen.  Waar de eerste betekend dat je toegeeft dat we breekbaar zijn, stelt de tweede zin je de vraag hoe breekbaar je bent.
En afhankelijk van welk gevoel er door mijn lijf raast kies ik voor de ene of de andere...

 And it isn't very hard to make a project using these words. Visible Image has enough stamps that match these words AND the little reminder I want to give myself.  Choosing the colors wasn't hard either... this project needed black and white. And then this little tiny red heart...at the end of a very fine root of the tree.

En heel moeilijk om een project te maken met deze woorden is het niet. Visible Image heeft een prachtig aanbod aan stempels waar deze woorden perfect bij passen en een je in staat stellen om voor jezelf of eender wie een project te maken die je voor je hoofd tikt om na te denken.
Kleuren kiezen was niet moeilijk... dit project vroeg gewoon om zwart-wit te worden. En dan dat hele kleine knal rode hartje dat aan het einde van een van de fijnere wortels van de boom eindigt.

Darkness has it's beauty...

I already shared how each week we have a challenge over at the 'France Papillon and Creative Butterflies' facebook group. This weeks challenge was 'Darkness has it's beauty' and I was more than happy to host it. We have so many beautiful entries on the group, it is so lovely to see how everybody looked at it. How I have looked at it? Well I kept close to my own personal story.

I liet jullie al weten dat we elke week een uitdaging hebben op de 'France Papillon and Creative Butterflies' facebook groep. Deze week was de uitdaging 'Darkness has it's beauty' en ik vond het super om hem te begeleiden. Er kwamen hele mooie projecten tevoorschijn, heerlijk om te zien hoe iedereen de uitdaging in vulde.

I had some Visible Image fun and to be more precise with this lovely stencil ^.^

Now of course I had my take on it and I went ahead not making one but two projects. And even though they are very similar they ended up completely different.
I had the camera rolling for you guys...have fun ^.^

Natuurlijk deed ik er mijn eigen ding mee en maakte niet één maar meteen twee projecten. En ook al lijken ze wat opbouw betreft heel sterk op elkaar, toch zijn het twee totaal verschillende projecten.
En ik had opnieuw de camera aan voor jullie... Veel plezier ^.^

I think...

Sometimes you start out a project, knowing exactly what you want to create. But then.. you just go a whole other direction and end up with a complete new card or project.
Today was such a day for me. I knew exactly what I needed but then my background decided otherwise ^.^

Soms start je aan een project en weet je precies wat je gaat maken. Om daarna te merken dat je eigenlijk toch een totaal andere richting uitgaat en met een volledig nieuw project eindigt dat totaal niet op het eerste lijkt.
Bij dit project ging het precies zo. Ik wist precies wat ik wou en wat ik ging doen... tot mijn achtergrond anders besliste voor mij ^.^

So had to go and start out all over again for my original card I had in mind. I'm sharing that one this Sunday so keep an eye out ^.^

Dus dan ook maar opnieuw beginnen voor het kaartje dat ik origineel in gedachten had. Dat laat ik jullie zondag zien dus hou het blog en mijn youtube kanaal in de gaten ^.^

Breathe...

Sometimes when you see something there immediately pops an idea into your head and you can't wait to go ahead and give in to that idea. So I was very happy when the stencils from Visible Image arrived here at home. Yes you are reading it right: stencils from Visible Image ^.^
And of course I filmed my first play with the stencils ...

Soms zie je iets en meteen gaat er een klik om in je hoofd, krijg je een idee, en kan je niet wachten om dat idee uit te werken. Ik was dan ook heel blij toen de nieuwe stencils van Visible Image hier aankwamen. En ja, je leest het goed, Visible Image bracht ook stencils uit ^.^
Mijn eerste projectje met de stencils heb ik ook maar meteen gefilmd...

That tiny spot in between the strobes is just perfect to put tiny elements in and get them in the spotlight. Keep an eye out because I still have loads of ideas for this stencil ^.^

Dat plekje tussen de stralen is perfect om een klein elementje te plaatsen en het zo in de spotlight te zetten. Jullie zien hier zonder twijfelen nog ideetjes langskomen met dit stencil ^.^

One design five cards #3...

I needed a birthday card for a friend and this idea that I had in my mind with the new 'Somewhere in time' stamp set  was perfect for it. And after seeing the result I loved the card so much that I decided to make a new 'One design five cards' video. It had been way too long since I made one of these. So get ready because we will be inking a lot of stamps ^.^

Ik had laatst een verjaardagskaart nodig voor een vriendin en het ontwerp dat al een hele tijd in mijn hoofd spookte moest er nu toch uit. En toen ik klaar was vond ik het zo leuk geworden dat ik besloot om er een nieuwe '1 design 5 cards' video van te maken. Dat was trouwens al veel te lang geleden. Dus maak je klaar want we gaan heel wat stempels van inkt voorzien ^.^

I love this splatter as it is a perfect stamp to put something in the spotlight.  And just by changing the stamps you get cards for all different occasions ^.^  Oh and it fits just right into the challenge that is going on over at the Visible Image facebook group now too: 'A splash of colour'. I love the project I'm showing today ...if I may say so. And that has all to do with this word stamp from Visible Image of course. How true can this one be...tell me... how black and white can this world sometimes be. How often do you find yourself standing opposite of something or someone, wishing you could just knock it right down on the floor?
But you should never forget there is always that tiny bit of color, even if it's not visible at that same difficult moment...it really is there <3

Ik hou zo van dit project dat ik vandaag laat zien...als ik dat gewoon eerlijk mag toegeven. En dat heeft allemaal te maken met deze tekststempel van Visible Image natuurlijk.  Hoeveel waarheid zit er opnieuw in... hoe zwart wit kan de wereld soms zijn. Hoe vaak vind je jezelf in de positie dat je lijnrecht tegenover iemand of iets staat, hopend dat je het gewoon meteen vlak tegen de grond kan vloeren?
En dan is het soms heel moeilijk om te zien dat er wel degelijk dat klein beetje kleur is...maar het is er wel degelijk <3

February...the month lovers go and celebrate their love. But what with all those other peoples in your life that deserve to know they take that special place in your heart too?
So I made a new 'One design five cards' video where I make 5 cards with some loving words that can be given to anybody who should know they're special to you.

Februari...de maand waarin geliefden hun liefde voor elkaar vieren. Maar wat met al die mensen in je leven die ook wel mogen weten dat ze een speciaal plekje in je hart hebben?
Dus besloot ik om opnieuw een " One design five cards" filmpje te maken waar ik vijf kaartjes maakte voor die speciale mensen.

I finally did it, decided what way I wanted to go with my personal art journal. I don't actually know if I can call it an art journal. I'll be sharing some more pictures on him real soon ( read as soon as it's a good weather to take photographs ^.^)
But I wanted to go and share the making of the first page already and I made a video on it. I hope you like it. If you do, go and give it a thumbs up so I know I can go on and make more video's for you ^.^

Ik ben er eindelijk uit, ik weet eindelijk welke richting ik uit wou met mijn eigen persoonlijke art journal. Nou, ik weet eigenlijk niet of ik het echt een art journal kan noemen. Ik laat heel snel meer foto's van hem zien ( lees...van zodra het een beetje deftig weer is om meer foto's te maken ^.^)
Maar ik wou alvast laten zien hoe de eerste pagina er uit zag en ik maakte er meteen ook een video van. Geef het zeker een like als jullie het leuk vinden, dan weet ik dat ik gezellig verder ga met filmen voor jullie ^.^

Hearts...

CAS cards...I have to admit that I love them and a lot of the times they only need one little element. In the Visible Image set "Own kind of beautiful" there are two hearts, a bigger one and a tiny one and they were just perfect to make these cards. Starting off with the bigger heart....

CAS kaartjes, ik moet toegeven dat ik ze heel graag maak en heel vaak hebben ze enkel een klein elementje nodig. In de Visible Image stempelset "Own kind of beautiful" zitten er twee harten, eentje is iets groter, het andere klein en fijn. En ik maakte twee kaartjes waarop ik ze allebei gebruikte. Het eerste kaartje met het grotere hart...

Not clear to see but the heart is embossed and the "heartbeat" was stamped using golden ink.

Niet zo heel duidelijk op de eerste foto maar het hart werd met rood embossinpoeder gezet en de "hartslag" werd met gouden inkt gestempeld.

En op dit kaartje zie je het kleinere hartje...
