I while ago I was tidying stuff up and there they were: my twinkling H2O's. So I decided to keep them on my table and create with them again.
It wasn't hard to choose some stamps for this project, as the soft twinkle and the colors I have here immediately bring me to the beautiful dragonfly From Visible Image. I did however decide to use another set of words for today's project instead of the words that are in the 'Live in the moment set...
I had my camera rolling again so have fun!
Toen ik even terug wat aan het opruimen was kreeg ik ze terug in mijn handen: mijn Twinkling H2O's. Dus besloot ik dat het al weer veel te lang geleden was en ze nu maar eens opnieuw te gaan gebruiken. Het was niet zo moeilijk om een stempel te vinden die ik wou gebruiken, aangezien de zachte glitter en de kleuren die ik hier heb me direct bij de libelle bracht. Ik besloot echter om een andere tekst te gaan gebruiken dan degene die in de set zit.... Ik heb alles op camera dus er staat een nieuwe tutorial op mijn youtube kanaal. Veel plezier!

So many ideas going through my mind... I needed to make a male card for someone of whom I know loves skulls and turned a certain age that is ... well sometimes a bit of a knock on the head for some people.
The love for skulls wasn't heard as Visible Image has a great stamp set called Mr. Bone Jangles so I had some stamped and cut out, made a background and then I pulled out the Skull shadow stencil to make a soft card that was supposed to go on the inside... But then I changed my mind...
So my soft background with the Skull shadow stencil became my front panel ^.^
Ik had zoveel verschillende ideeën in mijn hoofd...ik moest immers een mannelijke kaart maken voor iemand van wie ik weet dat hij wel houdt van doodshoofden en die een leeftijd werd die... soms een klopke op het hoofd is voor sommigen. Dat hij van doodshoofden hield was niet moeilijk aangezien Visible Image een prachtige set heeft namelijk Mr. Bone Jangles. Dus stempelde ik er een paar en ik sneed ze uit, ik maakte een achtergrondje met mijn aquarelverf en dan nam ik er het Skull shadow stencil bij om een zachte achtergrond te maken die aan de binnenkant zou komen... En dan veranderde ik van idee... De zachte achtergrond die binnenin zou komen werd mijn voorkant ^.^
And all because I did want that special number '49+1' incorporated but... I didn't want to scream it out loud so I was very happy when I found it in that tiny row of numbers in the Elemental stamp ^.^
A home rusted piece was perfect to get it out there...
En allemaal om ik het speciale nummer van '49+1' er toch graag op wou verwerken. Ik wou het echter niet uitschreeuwen dus ik was super blij toen ik het vond in dat kleine rijtje van cijfers in de Elemental stempel ^.^ Een zelf geroest stukje ijzer was perfect om het in de spotlight te zetten...
Not in the slightest near at the first idea I had in mind but I love how this one turned out. And I love how a tiny element of a stamp can give you whole new ideas.
Helemaal niet de kaart die ik eerst in gedachten had maar ik vind het super hoe het uiteindelijk geworden is. En helemaal super vind ik hoe één klein detail in een stempel je een volledig nieuw idee kan geven.

Now for today's inspiration I'm going a bit bigger... I'm trying out the square size off 8" by 8". That is a lot more space all of a sudden so I'll see where that brings me. But it's still me: some watercolors, some details and some thought provoking word... which automatically brings me to a tiny word in one of the Visible Image sets. Oh and tiny details...yes found that in a Visible Image stencils ^.^
And yes... I have it all on tape. Even my mistake of using the wrong kind of ink on the paper I chose. But no worries, I'm showing how I fixed it as good as I could. Can't wait to see my mistake? Enjoy the video ^.^
De inspiratie vandaag is een maatje groter... ik ben aan het spelen met de maat 21cm op 21cm. Dat is meteen veel meer plaats dus even kijken waar dit me brengt. Maar het blijft mijn eigen ding: aquarelverf, wat details en woorden die je aan het denken zetten... wat me vandaag bij een klein woordje bracht uit één van de Visible Image sets. Oh en dat kleine detail... yep gevonden in een stencil van Visible Image. En yep. ik heb het allemaal op video. Zelfs mijn fout om de verkeerde inkt te gebruiken op mijn papier. Maar geen paniek, ik laat ook zien hoe ik het zo goed als ik kan oplos. Benieuwd om mijn fout te zien? Veel plezier met de video ^.^

Every single time... I look forward in seeing the new words that come with new released stamp sets from Visible image. And just look at these... every single time there are words that go further than just a hello, or happy birthday! I just love how there are so many words that build someone up or get inside my mind and make me think and feel.
And then there are the images going with the words... making it possible to get those feelings and thoughts down to paper...
Elke keer opnieuw... kijk ik er naar uit om te ontdekken welke nieuwe woorden er bij de nieuwe stempelsets van Visible Image komen. En kijk nu naar deze... elke keer opnieuw zijn er woorden die verder gaan dan een simpele hallo of gelukkige verjaardag! Ik vind het zalig dat er zoveel woorden zijn die iemand een hart onder de riem steken, iemand opbouwen, die in mijn hoofd gaan zitten en me laten nadenken en voelen.
En dan zijn er de afbeeldingen die bij de woorden komen... en die maken het dan helemaal mogelijk om alles op papier te krijgen...
Isn't it a beauty this mushroom. He's just perfect for the caterpillar that comes with the set but look at him just on it's own... making cards for fall won't be hard this year ^.^

En hoe mooi is deze paddenstoel? Hij is perfect voor de rups die bij deze set hoort maar zo helemaal op zijn eentje is hij ook gewoon perfect. Kaarten maken rond thema herfst wordt helemaal niet moeilijk dit jaar ^.^
Maar eerst maar gewoon een tag waarbij ik aan de slag ging met mijn aquarelverf en Inktense potloden en waarbij de nadruk ligt op de woorden...

From the moment I first saw this stencil... I just fell in love with it. And of course I had to go and have a play with it and all I can say is... I love it even more now ^.^
And what better stamps to put on my background than the stamps from the new released Wonderland set 'Queen of hearts'?
Toen ik dit stencil zag was ik meteen verkocht. En natuurlijk ging ik er meteen mee aan de slag en ik kan enkel zeggen.... ik ben er nog gekker van ^.^ En welke stempels passen daar nu beter bij dan de stempels uit de nieuwe Wonderland reeks 'Queen of hearts'?
This set of course has the Queen itself but I didn't want to cover up my complete background so I chose this tiny card to go on my tag.
De stempelset heeft natuurlijk ook de stempel van de koningin zelf maar ik wou mijn achtergrond niet helemaal verbergen dus koos ik voor de leuke speelkaart die ook in de set zit.
No doubt you'll be seeing this stencil again on my projects... loads of ideas I want to go and have fun with.
Zonder twijfelen kan ik nu al zeggen dat dit stencil nog regelmatig tevoorschijn komt in mijn toekomstige projecten...meer dan genoeg ideetjes om plezier mee te hebben.

And of course I already had a play with them ^.^ I went for The White Rabbit and the words that are in that set couldn't be more true at the moment. I feel like I'm running but not moving forward at all.
En natuurlijk ging ik er al mee aan de slag ^.^ Ik koos voor 'The white Rabbit' en de woorden in deze set passen zo goed bij mij op dit moment. Het voelt alsof ik rond race maar niet vooruit geraak.
Some things I can control, others are out of my hands but one thing is sure, it became very clear that time is precious.
Sommige dingen heb ik zelf in de hand, andere heb ik minder controle over maar één ding is zeker: het werd me heel duidelijk dat tijd heel kostbaar is.
And then there is coloring... definitely one way to make you stop and relax. It has been so long since I colored in an actual figure and earlier I used other mediums like copic markers and the Zig clean color real brush markers. This time I went for my watercolors and Inktense pencils...
Oh and the perfect stamp to have your character stand on something instead of having it float around... the smudge stamp from the 'Dare to be different' set ^.^
En dan is er kleuren... heel duidelijk een manier op je zelf even helemaal tot rust te brengen. Het is echt al heel lang geleden dat ik nog eens een figuurtje in kleurde en toen gebruikte ik ook andere kleurmiddelen zoals copic markers en de Zig clean color real brushes. Deze keer ging ik voor mijn aquarelverf en de Inktense potloden. Oh en een kleine tip: de perfecte stempel om je figuurtje ergens op te laten staan in plaats van hem zomaar te zweven te zetten is de streep in de 'Dare to be different' set ^.^
So this is my first tag with one of the Wonderland stamps, but I'll be showing more of them of course ^.^ Now tell me: who's your favorite character of the set?
Dit is mijn eerste projectje met een van de Wonderland stempels, maar ik laat zeker nog meer projecten langskomen ^.^ Nu ben ik natuurlijk wel benieuwd... welk is jou favoriete stempelset?

A couple of weeks ago you saw how I created a card using the Baby Bloom stencil from Visible Image and today I had a play with the Bloom and grow stamp set. It's the same image for the baby but I went a complete different direction. That baby is so fragile and I wanted to make a delicate piece so I chose to have some acetate as my base.
It's hard to see but it has some stamping on it using white stazon ( as we are working on acetate).
Enkele weken geleden liet ik zien hoe ik een kaart maakte met het Baby Bloom stencil van Visible Image. Vandaag ging ik aan de slag met de Bloom and Grow stempel set. Het is dezelfde afbeelding voor de baby maar ik ging een volledige andere richting uit. Dat baby'tje is zo fragiel dat ik een rustig en zacht project wilde maken en daarom koos ik voor wat plastiek als mijn basis. Het is niet makkelijk te zien maar ik stempelde met wat witte stazon hier en daar wat tekst om de plastiek toch wat zichtbaarder te maken.
The baby was stamped and heat embossed before I 've cut it out, then my flower was colored in using some watercolors.
Het baby'tje heb ik gestempeld en met heatembossing neergezet en werd daarna uitgeknipt. Mijn bloem heb ik met mijn aquarelverf ingekleurd.
I already know what to create when a little baby comes and joines the family but it's a little bit early for that ^.^
Ik weet al wat ik zou maken mocht er een baby'tje in de familie bij komen maar laten we zeggen dat het daar toch nog even te vroeg voor is ^.^

Want voor je het weet, kan je kans om iemand lief te hebben zomaar ineens voorbij zijn en kan je enkel nog naar de sterren kijken. Nooit gedacht dat een video die ik enkele weken geleden reeds maakte vandaag zo sterk zou aanvoelen. Dat het gevoel dat ik had en ervoor zorgde dat ik deze video maakte, vandaag zoveel keer sterker zou zijn na de voorbije week. Veel plezier met de video...

Sometimes life is pretty hectic. We all have been there: work-society-school- kids-family-friends-... they all need a piece of your time and attention. It's not easy to claim a piece of that time for yourself as you do want to meet with everyone and everything that needs your attention no?
And it's at those days that some simple crafting is so welcome. Yes, I said it right: simple crafting. Sometimes we really feel the need to do some crafting at those hectic moments but taking everything out and getting everything cleaned up... it's enough to not have you crafting. Well, it's enough for me as I don't have my own craft room and I have 3 little cats that love to go and lay down on my stuff so I need to clean up a lot of my stuff when I'm ready.
But how relaxing is it to just take out a stencil, some grey pencils and of course... some watercolors ^.^
Het leven kan soms behoorlijk druk en hectisch zijn. We hebben het al allemaal meegemaakt: werk -school-kinderen-familie-vrienden- ... soms hebben ze allemaal tegelijkertijd net iets meer nood aan je aandacht. En het is niet makkelijk om jezelf dan niet zomaar voorbij te lopen en ook wat van je tijd vrij te houden voor jezelf. Tenslotte wil je jezelf met heel je hart inzetten voor iedereen toch? En op die dagen wordt het net moeilijker om even wat tijd vrij te maken om simpelweg aan je hobby te besteden. Nou tenminste dat is het voor mij want het idee dat ik alles uit de kast moet halen en nadien ook moet wegstoppen is voldoende om de zin in mijn hobby weg te halen. Ik heb zelf geen hobbykamer en met drie poezen die niet liever doen dan op mijn hobbyspullen te gaan liggen is nadien een minimum aan opruimen wel aangewezen. Maar hoe relaxerend kan het zijn om gewoon, simpel, een stencil boven te halen, wat grijze potloden en natuurlijk ook wat aquarelverf ^.^
I took some time for myself and had a play with the beautiful 'Baby bloom' stencil from Visible Image. Just color and relax, turn of my mind and step away from the stress ^.^Put down layer on top of layer and add a tiny bit of color... to end up with this CAS card that I just love.

Ik heb toch even wat tijd vrijgemaakt en nam er het prachtige 'Baby bloom' stencil van Visible Image bij. Gewoon relax wat kleuren, mijn hoofd even helemaal leeg maken en een stapje opzij naast alle drukte. Laag boven laag en natuurlijk een klein accent kleur later... deze CAS kaart.
