Liberté...

Those who know me know I just love to use details or parts from stamps and today I'm just doing that once again ^.^

What is the first thing you see when looking at this set?  For me it was that beautiful combo of lines and splatters and cirkels and letters and... flying birds... and beautiful matching words ^.^

Wie me kent weet gewoon dat ik er heel erg van hou om deeltjes van stempels of stencils te gebruiken en ook vandaag is dat niet anders ^.^

Wat is het eerste dat jullie zien als jullie naar deze stempel kijken? Mijn oog werd meteeng etrokken naar de combinatie van de lijnen, de spetters en vlekken , de cirkels en... de vogels en... perfect passende woorden ^.^

Like... this gorgeous part ^.^  

Ik bedoel dus... dit stukje ^.^

Anyone now looked at the other part of the big stamp? What do you think... wouldn't that be a gorgeous part to be put on a tag too? I know I will do it for sure as I love it!

But today my focus went to those birds flying away. Now what better word than liberté to add and have a little play with my watercolors ^.^ 

Oh and just to add that little bit weight at the other side of the tag...  some tiny circles from the Shape it up set. But of course only a part of it ^.^

Iemand die nu ook automatisch ook naar de andere kant van de grote stempel keek? Wat denk je... zou dat deel er ook niet prachtig uitzien aan de rand van een project? Ik weet gewoon nu al dat ik dat ga doen want ik ben er ook helemaal gek van!

Maar vandaag eerst even aan de slag met die vogels die wegvliegen. Perfect toch om te combineren met het woord Liberté ( vrijheid) en er dan natuurlijk ook mijn aquarelverf bijnemen.

En om mijn tag in evenwicht te zetten ( in mijn hoofd althans ^.^ )  een paar kleine cirkels aan de andere kant van de tag uit de set Shape it up. Nou een deeltje er van ...

Shine a light...

Today I'm over at the 'Less is more' challenge blog where they challenge you to create clean and simple projects. So no layers, lots of white space and minimal embellishments.  So I think I've got that ^.^

Vandaag ben ik een guest designer op het 'Less is more' challenge blog waar je uitgedaagd wordt om Clean and simple projecten te maken. dus geen extra lagen, veel witruimte en een minimum aan embellishments.  Dat lijkt me geen probleem ^.^

Now for the theme: shine a light... so they suggested a ray of sunlight or some moonlight or...  Now who would I be not to have my own take on the 'Shine a light' right?
Oh and guess who the sponsor is this month... yes... Visible Image so twice the fun or no: triple the fun because I can play with my favorite stamps, keep my white space and have fun on laying down a little message.
Getting curious on my take on it all?  Well I have been filming it all as I am adding some texture on my stamps and I wanted to share those little tricks with you.  Have fun!

Nu voor het thema: schijn een licht op...  Dus stelden ze bijvoorbeeld wat zonnestralen of maanlicht
voor. Maar wie zou ik zijn om er niet mijn eigen draai aan te geven toch?
Ah en weet je wie de sponsor is deze maand? Inderdaad: Visible Image. Dus twee keer zoveel plezier, nou maak dat drie keer want ik mag met mijn favoriete stempels werken, kan mijn geliefde witruimte houden en mag mijn eigen betekenis en verhaal neer leggen.

Bad days... we all have them. We can all pretend to be tough but we all have that point where we break down and a big hug is so badly needed.  

But then there is life... not everyone can just drop anything he's doing to come running and give you that instant hug you need.  That's just a fact, we would love to be able to drop everything but that's sadly enough not realistic. And sometimes that person isn't living nearby either so that's making it even harder to be there in an instant. 

Well... a good alternative is a card.  Yes we can call and send text messages or skype or... but there is something about a handmade card that gives that extra warm touch.

So here it is, my take on a card for someone that can use a little support, a card to put that little precious note inside showing you are thinking of someone, showing you care.

Een slechte dag... iedereen heeft die wel eens. We kunnen ons allemaal wel  voordoen als harde noten om te kraken maar iedereen komt wel eens op dat breekpunt waar een knuffel zo hard nodig is.

En dan is er het dagelijkse leven... niet iedereen kan gewoon alles laten vallen om naar ons te rennen en ons die knuffel te geven die je zo hard nodig hebt. Dat is gewoon een vaststaand feit, we zouden allemaal wel  willen dat we alles konden laten vallen maar dat is nu jammer genoeg niet realistisch.  En is het zelfs zo dat je te ver uit elkaar woont om snel even naar elkaar toe te gaan. Ja we kunnen bellen, en een sms sturen of skypen of.. maar er is ook zoiets als een handgemaakt kaartje dat net dat kleine tikkeltje extra warmte meedraagt. 

Hier is mijn versie van zo een kaartje dat dat kleine steuntje in de rug kan zijn, een kaartje waar je die kleine persoonlijke boodschap in kan neerpennen en waarmee je kan laten zien dat je aan iemand denkt, dat je er bent voor hem of haar.

Dare to be different

And relax...

Sometimes life is pretty hectic. We all have been there: work-society-school- kids-family-friends-... they all need a piece of your time and attention. It's not easy to claim a piece of that time for yourself as you do want to meet with everyone and everything that needs your attention no?
And it's at those days that some simple crafting is so welcome. Yes, I said it right: simple crafting. Sometimes we really feel the need to do some crafting at those hectic moments but taking everything out and getting everything cleaned up... it's enough to not have you crafting. Well, it's enough for me as I don't have my own craft room and I have 3 little cats that love to go and lay down on my stuff so I need to clean up a lot of my stuff when I'm ready.
But how relaxing is it to just take out a stencil, some grey pencils and of course... some watercolors ^.^

Het leven kan soms behoorlijk druk en hectisch zijn. We hebben het al allemaal meegemaakt: werk -school-kinderen-familie-vrienden- ... soms hebben ze allemaal tegelijkertijd net iets meer nood aan je aandacht. En het is niet makkelijk om jezelf dan niet zomaar voorbij te lopen en ook wat van je tijd vrij te houden voor jezelf. Tenslotte wil je jezelf met heel je hart inzetten voor iedereen toch?
En op die dagen wordt het net moeilijker om even wat tijd vrij te maken om simpelweg aan je hobby te besteden. Nou tenminste dat is het voor mij want het idee dat ik alles uit de kast moet halen en nadien ook moet wegstoppen is voldoende om de zin in mijn hobby weg te halen. Ik heb zelf geen hobbykamer en met drie poezen die niet liever doen dan op mijn hobbyspullen te gaan liggen is nadien een minimum aan opruimen wel aangewezen.
Maar hoe relaxerend kan het zijn om gewoon, simpel, een stencil boven te halen, wat grijze potloden en natuurlijk ook wat aquarelverf ^.^

I took some time for myself and had a play with the beautiful 'Baby bloom' stencil from Visible Image. Just color and relax, turn of my mind and step away from the stress ^.^Put down layer on top of layer and add a tiny bit of color... to end up with this CAS card that I just love.

Something completely different from the tag I made earlier with this exact same stencil that you can find RIGHT HERE

Ik heb toch even wat tijd vrijgemaakt en nam er het prachtige 'Baby bloom' stencil van Visible Image bij. Gewoon relax wat kleuren, mijn hoofd even helemaal leeg maken en een stapje opzij naast alle drukte. Laag boven laag en natuurlijk een klein accent kleur later... deze CAS kaart.

Iets helemaal anders dan de tag die ik eerder al maakte met dit stencil en welke je HIER KAN TERUGVINDEN

Baby bloom

So much stronger...

It's only when we are facing hard times that we realize how strong we really are.  Sometimes we think we will break but in the end we only see some cracks and dents but we are still shining, no matter how hard life has hit us...

Het is vaak na moeilijke tijden dat we pas beseffen hoe sterk we eigenlijk zijn. Soms denken we dat we helemaal gebroken worden maar blijven er enkel barsten en deuken over als alles over is, en schijnen we nog even hard als voorheen, ongeacht hoe hard het leven ons aangepakt heeft...

I had a play with some beautiful words and I took the 'Take my hand' stencil to draw my lines. Yes, we tend to forget that you can also very simply use a stencil to draw ^.^
After coloring everything I took some crackle glaze to fill in my red circles...

Ik ging aan de slag met deze mooie woorden van Visible Image en gebruikte het stencil 'Take my hand' om mijn cirkels te tekenen. Ja, soms vergeten we dat we ook heel simpel een stencil kunnen gebruiken om te tekenen.Nadat alles gekleurd was bracht ik wat crackle glaze aan in de rode cirkels...

Don't be afraid of the cracks, they let the light in...

Geen schrik hebben voor de scheurtjes, die zorgen er voor dat er meer licht binnen kan...

Thinking about that one special person while reading this... 

then (s)he must be someone that means a lot for you. 

Or do these words make you think of someone special...

'Here for you... Always' 

In my last video I made some cards using these words and I thought you might like to win some of the cards to send them out?
Who is that special person that should know how special he is, how much you appreciate to have him/her in your life?  And I know it's not always easy to say it out loud so why not send a card with a special message of thanks.
And what are you waiting for to be that special person yourself? Life is hard, everyone is battling a  battle, big or small. We all can use a good friend that is there for us on those battles...

In mijn laatste video maakte ik een paar kaarten met deze teksten en nu dacht ik dat jullie het misschien wel leuk vonden om een paar van mijn kaarten te winnen zodat je ze kan versturen?
Wie is die speciale persoon die best wel mag weten hoe bijzonder jij hem/haar vind, die mag weten hoe zeer je waardeert dat hij hij/zij een deel is van je leven?  En ik weet het, het is niet altijd makkelijk om luidop te zeggen wat je denkt of voelt, dus waarom geen kaartje sturen met een kleine speciale boodschap?
En waarop wacht je om zelf een belangrijke rol te spelen in iemands leven? Het leven kan hard zijn, we hebben allemaal onze tegenslagen, of ze nu groot zijn of klein. We kunnen allemaal wel een goede vriend(in) gebruiken op zo momenten...

Into the woods...

Did you already see the new release Visible Image shared and is available Mai 11th?  If not, you are missing out on beautiful sets and stencils.  You get the whole deal: great designs and words that give you the chance to tell your story. 

I love playing with their words. They are perfect on their own but they also give you a chance to put parts of them together and make whole new sets of words. So versatile and they never lose their strength. On my first project you can see how I brought two different sentences together to make a new one. I have put it on a card here but I can already tell you that I have other plans for this one... for this whole card as a matter of fact ^.^ but I need to go and have myself a bit more paper first.

Zagen jullie de nieuwe stempels en stencils al die Visible Image uit brengt op 11 mei? Als jullie ze nog niet zagen dan hebben jullie iets gemist. Het is het hele pakket: prachtige ontwerpen en woorden die je de kans geven om je verhaal te vertellen.

Het is geen geheim dat ik van hun woorden hou. Ze zijn perfect op zichzelf maar door ze te combineren, of delen samen te brengen, maak je zelf opnieuw een heleboel nieuwe heel bruikbare woorden. Op mijn eerste project  kan je zien hoe ik twee verschillende zinnen bewerkte om een nieuwe te maken. Ik gebruikte het hier op een kaart maar ik kan nu al zeggen dat ik een ander plan heb met deze... voor dit complete kaartje zelfs ^.^ Maar ik moet eerst wat extra papier bijhalen.

And then there's that tree... and those two other tree scenes... and those owls. What can I say other than they are just perfect and they speak to me. So many ideas and I only started stamping them separately, even though they match together so great to make beautiful scenes. 

But look at it, just one of the stamps and yet a great silhouette of the woods. 

And yes, there are words in the set too... 

En dan heb je de boom... en de twee silhouetten...en de uilen. Zoveel ideeën en ik heb ze nu enkel apart gebruikt. En dat terwijl ze perfect bij elkaar passen  om prachtige scenes op te bouwen.

Maar ook al gebruikte ik slechts één stempel, toch heb je een perfect silhouette van het bos.

En ja hoor, er zitten ook woorden in deze set.

So don't hesitate to go and check out the new releases. I'm pretty sure you will get as enthusiastic as I am when you see them ^.^

Benieuwd naar de nieuwe release... ga alles zeker eens bekijken. Ik ben er van overtuigd dat je even enthousiast als ikzelf zal zijn als je ze ziet ^.^

Hohoho...Merry...wait...what? Finally the sun is coming and snow is the last thing on my mind right now. But... I did indeed take out my Christmas stamps to make a card today ^.^ But that's only because this set is just perfect for so many more occasions then only Christmas projects.
I really wanted to make a card to send some love over to someone so the choice to use the word LOVE was obvious, now to build up the rest of the card... I just took my box of Visible Image stamps and looked at each set to find tiny elements that I could bring together. And I ended up with four of them in total for my background.

Een vrolijk Kerstf... wacht...euh? De zon heeft eindelijk zijn weg gevonden en sneeuw is echt het laatste waar ik op dit moment aan denk. Maar... ik heb wel degelijk mijn kerststempels uit de kast gehaald om mijn kaart te maken vandaag ^.^ Maar dit is natuurlijk omdat deze set gewoon ook perfect voor andere projecten dan kerstkaarten kan.
Ik wilde graag een kaartje maken om iemand gewoon wat liefde te sturen dus de keuze voor het woord LOVE was makkelijk, nu enkel nog kijken hoe ik mijn kaart verder wil aankleden. Dus nam ik mijn doos met Visible Image stempels en ging even door alle sets om te zien welke ik samen kon brengen. Ik kwam uit op 4 verschillende sets om mijn achtergrond op te bouwen.

I firmly believe you should tell anyone that you hold dear you love them. Believe me, you can stay behind alone in a blink of an eye and then it's to late. So who do you want to tell you love him or her today? What is holding you back...tomorrow is never promised.

Ik ben er rotsvast van overtuigd dat je eender wie je lief is regelmatig moet zeggen dat je van hun houdt. Geloof me, in één seconde kan je alleen achter blijven en dan is het te laat. Wie wil jij zeggen dat je hem of haar graag ziet? En wat houdt je tegen... morgen is je nooit beloofd.
