Time...

How little can make you happy when creating?  One layer, two... nine? I think it's already known that I'm not the girl of many layers. I'm also not the girl of loads of color or bright colors.  So yes, today I'm sharing yet another piece with loads of white, greys and blacks and just one pop of color. But Visible Image their stamps and stencils are strong enough to hold as little layers or colors and still stand out above loads of other stamps I have here at home.

So what did I put on my table?  Yep, last week Mr Bone Jangles and today this little brother came out to play. Well his little brothers and sisters I think ^.^

Met hoe weinig kan je al gelukkig zijn bij het creeëren. Met één laag, met twee,... met negen? Ik denk dat het wel veilig is om te stellen dat ik niet iemand ben die voor de negen lagen gaat. Ik ben ook niet degene die veel kleur gebruikt of voor de felle kleuren gaat. Dus ja, ik laat vandaag terug een pagina zien met veel wit, grijs en zwart en één kleur om een accent aan te brengen.  Maar Visible Image hun stempels en stencils hebben vaak niet meer nodig dan die paar laagjes en dat klein beetje kleur om nog steeds boven veel stempels uit te steken die ik hier thuis heb.

Dus wat had ik op mijn tafel liggen? Yep, vorige week Mr. Bone Jangles en vandaag kwam zijn kleine broer spelen. Wel oke, zijn kleine broers en zussen denk ik ^.^

And then some greys, black and that one pop of red that I love so much in combination with my greys and blacks ^.^ And of course words, the perfect words for my image <3 

En dan natuurlijk wat grijs, zwart en die ene hint rood die ik zo graag combineer bij mijn favorieten kleuren. En woorden, de perfecte woorden voor mijn project <3 

How it was made?  

You start by masking of the shape of a heart. Not hard at all to make your mask as you can just go and trace the heart using the stencil. 

Then I layed down a layer of grey watercolor... can't go without my watercolors can I ^.^

Then remove the mask and lay down your stencil to brush on a thin layer of grey which will have your stencil appear in the background.  Gradually built up on the black the closer you get to your heart.

You then color in your heart in red... and finish it off with some glossy accents before you put down the words...

Hoe het gemaakt werd?
Je begint met het masken van een hart. En een mask maken is niet zo moeilijk met het stencil, gewoon een hart omlijnen en uitsnijden.
Daarna legde ik een laag grijze aquarelverf neer... die horen er bij toch?
Daarna haal je het masker weg en leg je het stencil neer om een dun laagje grijs door je stencil te blenden zodat je stencil naar voren komt. Hoe dichter je bij je hart komt, hoe meer zwart je neerlegt.
En daarna kleur je je hart in met rood, om het af te werken met een laagje glossy accents, en daarna heb je enkel nog de woorden nodig...

Fact: I don't like making Christmas cards so I keep postponing in making them.
Answer: make a quick and easy card or a multiple of them each week now until Christmas
So start the countdown: 10 weeks until Christmas...

Feit: ik maak niet graag kerstkaarten en stel het dus altijd uit tot het allerlaatste moment.
Oplossing: elke week een snelle makkelijke kaart ( of een veelvoud ervan) maken tot aan Kerst.
Dus... begin het aftellen maar: nog 10 weken tot aan Kerst.

Always there...

I've always loved old walls. I love all the old cracks, the crevices, the little missing pieces, the life it breaths... So for today's project I wanted to go and have a play with that little crack stamp from the 'Create it' set (well the biggest of the two) and I stamped it several times, using some masking tape to create some cracking on my tag. When you choose your masking right, you're able to create a little place to put a fine detail and for my project...yes you guessed it right it was a tiny heart...

Ik heb altijd van oude muren gehouden. Ik hou van die spleten en kieren, de oneffenheden, de kleine stukken die missen, het leven dat het vasthoudt... Voor mijn project van vandaag wou ik aan de slag met de kleine crackle stempel van de 'Create it' set ( nou de grootste van de twee) en ik heb hem meerdere keren gestempeld waarbij ik soms masking tape gebruikte om delen te masken. En als je de tape op de juiste plaatsen kleeft dan kan je een plaatsje maken waarin je een klein detail kan verwerken. En ja... je raadt het helemaal juist, bij mij is dat een klein hartje...

Of course I needed some words for my tag and I found them in the Son Definition set...

En natuurlijk wilde ik er ook een tekstje op en die vond ik in de 'Son Definition' set...

Create it

Son Definition

Be tough...

Sometimes you get an idea when you see a new set of stamps but for God knows what reason you just don't get it done immediately. But it sticks in your mind and this project was one of those. I knew what I wanted to make but for some reason I just kept making other projects first... until today ^.^
That circle stamps from the 'Shape it up' set needed to be pushed in drying texture paste!
I know it's not all that clear but you get a 3D circle with all the lines pushed down into it, I love it.
I used the Ranger texture paste so no problem to take out my watercolors to add some color ^.^
And when my circle was ready...it was just getting my ideas onto my paper.

Soms krijg je meteen een idee als je een nieuwe set stempels ziet maar voor God weet welke reden maak je het niet meteen.  Maar het blijft in je hoofd zitten en dit project was er zo eentje.  Ik wist wat ik wilde maken maar om een of andere reden maakte ik eerst andere projecten... tot vandaag ^.^
De cirkel uit de 'Shape it up' set moest gewoon in drogende textuur pasta geduwd worden!
Ik weet dat het moeilijk te zien is op de foto maar je krijgt dus eigenlijk een 3D cirkel met de lijnen erin geduwd als textuur en het ziet er super uit in het echt.
Ik gebruikte de Ranger textuur pasta dus het was super makkelijk om er met mijn aquarelverf was kleur op te zetten.
En eens mijn cirkel klaar was... kon ik aan de slag om mijn hoofd leeg te maken op mijn papier.

En je kent me alvast wel al goed genoeg om te weten dat ik ook altijd een woord gebruik om mijn gedachten van mijn project te bundelen.

Heerlijk is het als je je hoofd leeg kan maken en gewoon kan creëren wat je nodig hebt...

So many of you might be surprised... yes I'm moving away from posting my Visible Image inspiration from Sundays to Wednesdays now. Not to worry, when you come and take a peak on Sundays you will still find my posts here. And if you don't want to miss out on the videos... just go on top of my youtube page and turn the bell on. That way you will get notifications every time there's a new video online so you don't have to miss out on any of them ^.^

Verrast?  Yep ik ben doorgeschoven bij het posten van mijn Visible Image inspiratie van zondag naar de woensdag. Maar dat is geen probleem natuurlijk, als je hier op zondag komt kijken vind je zonder problemen de inspiratie die ik op woensdag heb gepost. An als je zeker wil zijn dat je geen video's mist dan kan je gewoon die bel aanklikken die bovenaan op mijn youtube pagina staat. Dan krijg je meteen een melding als er een nieuwe video online komt en hoef je niets te missen ^.^

Now for today's inspiration I'm going a bit bigger... I'm trying out the square size off 8" by 8".  That is a lot more space all of a sudden so I'll see where that brings me. But it's still me: some watercolors, some details and some thought provoking word... which automatically brings me to a tiny word in one of the Visible Image sets. Oh and tiny details...yes found that in a Visible Image stencils ^.^
And yes... I have it all on tape. Even my mistake of using the wrong kind of ink on the paper I chose. But no worries, I'm showing how I fixed it as good as I could. Can't wait to see my mistake? Enjoy the video ^.^

De inspiratie vandaag is een maatje groter... ik ben aan het spelen met de maat 21cm op 21cm. Dat is meteen veel meer plaats dus even kijken waar dit me brengt. Maar het blijft mijn eigen ding: aquarelverf, wat details en woorden die je aan het denken zetten... wat me vandaag bij een klein woordje bracht uit één van de Visible Image sets. Oh en dat kleine detail... yep gevonden in een stencil van Visible Image. En yep. ik heb het allemaal op video. Zelfs mijn fout om de verkeerde inkt te gebruiken op mijn papier. Maar geen paniek, ik laat ook zien hoe ik het zo goed als ik kan oplos. Benieuwd om mijn fout te zien? Veel plezier met de video ^.^

Want voor je het weet, kan je kans om iemand lief te hebben zomaar ineens voorbij zijn en kan je enkel nog naar de sterren kijken.
Nooit gedacht dat een video die ik enkele weken geleden reeds maakte vandaag zo sterk zou aanvoelen. Dat het gevoel dat ik had en ervoor zorgde dat ik deze video maakte, vandaag zoveel keer sterker zou zijn na de voorbije week.  Veel plezier met de video...

One design five cards - Angels

One design five cards... it has been a long time since I made a video like that and I really had a lot of fun making this one. We are going for a fun technique, a back up plan for when it doesn't work and beautiful words from Visible Image. Enjoy the video...

Eén ontwerp en vijf kaarten... het is al een hele tijd geleden dat ik dit nog eens deed maar ik heb er van genoten. We gaan voor een leuke techniek, een oplossing voor als het niet lukt en natuurlijk prachtige woorden van Visible Image. Veel plezier met de video...

Those special people in our lives, we all have them. And I know it isn't always easy to say out loud what you feel for them so why not make a card to let them know? All stamps I have used in this video can be found underneath. And take a look around in the shop as there are many more perfect words to put on your card or at the inside.
And if you don't have watercolor, just take out your inks or reinkers or sprays or bister or... so many possibilities. And in worst case scenario... ink up those clouds ^.^
Shouldn't we say it more often how special those people are to us?

We hebben allemaal wel die bijzondere mensen in ons leven. En ik weet dat het niet altijd even makkelijk is om luidop te zeggen hoe bijzonder ze wel zijn dus waarom geen kaartje sturen dan? Alle stempels die ik heb gebruikt vind je onderaan terug met een bijhorende link. En neem zeker ook een kijkje bij de andere stempels want er zijn nog zoveel andere mooie teksten om op je kaart te plaatsen of in de binnenkant.
En als je geen aquarelverf hebt, neem gewoon je inkten of re-inkers of sprayinkten of bister of... zoveel mogelijkheden. En in het ergste geval... dan beinkt je gewoon die wolken ^.^
Want zeggen we niet te weinig hoeveel iemand echt voor ons betekend?

Into the woods...

Did you already see the new release Visible Image shared and is available Mai 11th?  If not, you are missing out on beautiful sets and stencils.  You get the whole deal: great designs and words that give you the chance to tell your story. 

I love playing with their words. They are perfect on their own but they also give you a chance to put parts of them together and make whole new sets of words. So versatile and they never lose their strength. On my first project you can see how I brought two different sentences together to make a new one. I have put it on a card here but I can already tell you that I have other plans for this one... for this whole card as a matter of fact ^.^ but I need to go and have myself a bit more paper first.

Zagen jullie de nieuwe stempels en stencils al die Visible Image uit brengt op 11 mei? Als jullie ze nog niet zagen dan hebben jullie iets gemist. Het is het hele pakket: prachtige ontwerpen en woorden die je de kans geven om je verhaal te vertellen.

Het is geen geheim dat ik van hun woorden hou. Ze zijn perfect op zichzelf maar door ze te combineren, of delen samen te brengen, maak je zelf opnieuw een heleboel nieuwe heel bruikbare woorden. Op mijn eerste project  kan je zien hoe ik twee verschillende zinnen bewerkte om een nieuwe te maken. Ik gebruikte het hier op een kaart maar ik kan nu al zeggen dat ik een ander plan heb met deze... voor dit complete kaartje zelfs ^.^ Maar ik moet eerst wat extra papier bijhalen.

And then there's that tree... and those two other tree scenes... and those owls. What can I say other than they are just perfect and they speak to me. So many ideas and I only started stamping them separately, even though they match together so great to make beautiful scenes. 

But look at it, just one of the stamps and yet a great silhouette of the woods. 

And yes, there are words in the set too... 

En dan heb je de boom... en de twee silhouetten...en de uilen. Zoveel ideeën en ik heb ze nu enkel apart gebruikt. En dat terwijl ze perfect bij elkaar passen  om prachtige scenes op te bouwen.

Maar ook al gebruikte ik slechts één stempel, toch heb je een perfect silhouette van het bos.

En ja hoor, er zitten ook woorden in deze set.

So don't hesitate to go and check out the new releases. I'm pretty sure you will get as enthusiastic as I am when you see them ^.^

Benieuwd naar de nieuwe release... ga alles zeker eens bekijken. Ik ben er van overtuigd dat je even enthousiast als ikzelf zal zijn als je ze ziet ^.^

Not negotiable...

Today it's my turn again to share some inspiration over at France Papillon her blog and I have a tiny project for you ^.^ I had some fun with the Illusionary Artist stamps and two of France her stencils on an ATC.  How I made it is all shown in a complete step by step tutorial so you can have a go yourself.  Itchy fingers to give it a try...go check it out HERE. Vandaag is het mijn beurt om opnieuw wat inspiratie te delen op het blog van France Papillon en deze keer geen tag maar een klein projectje. Ik ging aan de slag met de Illusionary Artist stempels en twee stencils van France op een ATC. Hoe ik alles op bouwde laat ik zien in een volledig stappenplan op het blog zodat jullie ook zelf aan de slag kunnen. Beginnen je vingers te jeuken... je vindt alles HIER. Veel plezier!

It always amazes me how, by just switching the two last words from place, you get (well I get) a completely different feeling. And depending on what the feeling is that is racing inside of me I'll choose one or the other...

Elke keer als ik naar deze woorden kijk dan verbaast het me hoe, door twee woorden van plaats te verwisselen je twee verschillende ladingen krijgt in een zin met dezelfde vier zinnen.  Waar de eerste betekend dat je toegeeft dat we breekbaar zijn, stelt de tweede zin je de vraag hoe breekbaar je bent.
En afhankelijk van welk gevoel er door mijn lijf raast kies ik voor de ene of de andere...

 And it isn't very hard to make a project using these words. Visible Image has enough stamps that match these words AND the little reminder I want to give myself.  Choosing the colors wasn't hard either... this project needed black and white. And then this little tiny red heart...at the end of a very fine root of the tree.

En heel moeilijk om een project te maken met deze woorden is het niet. Visible Image heeft een prachtig aanbod aan stempels waar deze woorden perfect bij passen en een je in staat stellen om voor jezelf of eender wie een project te maken die je voor je hoofd tikt om na te denken.
Kleuren kiezen was niet moeilijk... dit project vroeg gewoon om zwart-wit te worden. En dan dat hele kleine knal rode hartje dat aan het einde van een van de fijnere wortels van de boom eindigt.

Clean and simple, yet strong enough for me with all my tiny elements coming together...

Clean en simpel, maar toch sterk genoeg voor mij met al mijn kleine elementen die samen komen...

Darkness has it's beauty...

I already shared how each week we have a challenge over at the 'France Papillon and Creative Butterflies' facebook group. This weeks challenge was 'Darkness has it's beauty' and I was more than happy to host it. We have so many beautiful entries on the group, it is so lovely to see how everybody looked at it. How I have looked at it? Well I kept close to my own personal story.

I liet jullie al weten dat we elke week een uitdaging hebben op de 'France Papillon and Creative Butterflies' facebook groep. Deze week was de uitdaging 'Darkness has it's beauty' en ik vond het super om hem te begeleiden. Er kwamen hele mooie projecten tevoorschijn, heerlijk om te zien hoe iedereen de uitdaging in vulde.
