If I could turn back time... 

I'd find you sooner and love you longer

Today I have this CAS tag but one with a special meaning to me.  When you look at the 'Have I told you set'... what is the first thing you think off? I guess you are thinking lovers right now ^.^
But for me today... the words I've put on the tag have a whole other meaning.  You know, I lost a beautiful friend. In a minimal time frame she was taken away from so many people who loved her for being her beautiful self leaving us speechless, not knowing how that could ever have happened.
And it is at times like that, that you realize... if only. If I could turn back time...


Vandaag heb ik een CAS tag maar wel eentje met een speciale lading voor mij persoonlijk.  Als je naar de stempel set 'Have I told you' kijkt... wat is het eerste waar je aan denkt? En ik denk dat ik wel kan raden dat dat Valentijn of verliefde mensen zijn ^.^
Maar voor mij hebben de woorden die ik gebruikte wel een hele andere mening vandaag. Ik verloor een prachtvriendin. In een mum van tijd werd ze weg gerukt van zo veel mensen die haar zo graag hadden omwille van de prachtige persoon die ze was. En we bleven gewoon sprakeloos achter, niet wetende hoe dit ooit zomaar had kunnen gebeuren.
Het is in tijden zoals dit dat je jezelf realiseert.. als ik kon.  Als ik de tijd kon terug draaien...

Now she will never be forgotten, that just wouldn't be possible. But I did feel the need to just lay down some of those feelings. And I did it in my own way, using these particular stamps and a hint of pink.

Ze zal nooit vergeten worden, dat is gewoon onmogelijk. Maar ik wou wel een deel van die gevoelens neerzetten en ik deed dat op mijn eigen manier, met deze specifieke stempels en een roze tint.

You all know I love words on my projects and today is not different. They even get their own place in the spotlight on today's project.  Visible Image has these beautiful sets with strong words perfect for cards, art journaling and I myself used them on a tag today. I had my own twist on them as I felt like they needed to be torn apart and then joined together again.  Strange? Not in my head :-)
Well I had the camera rolling for you so enjoy the video ^.^

Het is geen geheim dat ik graag woorden verwerk op mijn projecten en dat is vandaag niet anders.  Ze krijgen zelfs hun eigen plaatsje in de spotlights. Visible Image heeft prachtige sets met woorden die perfect zijn voor kaarten, artjournaling of op een tag zoals ik vandaag doe. Ik gaf er mijn eigen draai aan aangezien ik vond dat ze uit elkaar moesten gehaald worden en daarna toch terug samen moesten gebracht worden. Vreemd?  Niet in mijn hoofd ^.^
Ik had de camera terug opgezet dus veel plezier met een nieuwe tutorial op mijn videokanaal ^.^

Only 7 weeks till Christmas so we better keep making those Christmas cards.  So I have a new card for you in my Holiday cards series. And as last week's one was a very CAS one I went for some mixed media today ^.^ Enjoy the video!

Nog 7 weken voor het kerst is dus we blijven best maar even actief kerstkaarten maken. Vandaag dus een nieuw kaartje in mijn Holiday cards series en aangezien het vorige week een hele CAS kaart was vandaag maar even de mixed media toer opgegaan ^.^ Veel plezier!

Ik wil van deze gelegenheid ook even een warm welkom geven aan al mijn nieuwe volgers op mijn kanaal en hier op mijn blog, maar ook een dikke dank je wel aan iedereen die de tijd neemt om een like en een berichtje na te laten. Het is altijd hartverwarmend om ze te ontdekken en worden heel erg geapprecieerd. Dikke knuffel van mij voor jou ^.^

Past...future...

So I promised I would be back with some more inspiration for this month's challenge over at Visible Image. Today I'm only using paper, some metal wire and a bit of gaze to add my structure...

Ik beloofde jullie dat ik terug kwam met wat meer inspiratie voor de uitdaging bij Visible Image. Vandaag bracht ik dimensie aan door gewoon papier, wat ijzerdraad en een beetje verband aan te brengen..

I stamped both words (past and future) and my sentiment on some thicker paper, cut it out to glue it back on again. Might sound a bit silly but it does help to create some depth ;-)

To put my word Future in the spotlight I layered it on top of a gear diecut ( two layers of 300 gsm watercolor paper) To ground this element I have put some bandage underneath that was secured again with some metal wire as I did with my sentiment.

Ik stempelde mijn woorden past- future en mijn quote op wat dikker papier, sneed ze uit en kleefde ze terug op. Klinkt wat idioot maar het helpt je op een simpele manier om diepte te creëren in je werkstuk ;-)

Om mijn woord Future in de spotlight te zetten bracht ik hem aan bovenop een uitgestanst tandwiel ( 2 lagen 300 gr aquarelpapier) En omdat dit element niet zomaar zou zweven op mijn project zette ik het op wat verband dat net als mijn sentiment met wat ijzerdraad werd vastgezet.

Yes, my future is looking very bright with this golden watercolors ^.^

Yep, mijn toekomst schittert mij tegemoet met de gouden aquarelverf ^.^

Now...this is just a first project with the new stamps Visible Image will be releasing on June 9th. Loads more to come as I have so many ideas in my head. You should go and CHECK THEM OUT as they open so many possibilities. Just go and read all those beautiful words...<3

Dit is pas mijn eerste projectje met de nieuwe stempels die Visible Image uitbrengt vanaf 9 juni.  Maar er komen er nog veel meer aan want mijn hoofd barst van de ideeën. Ga zeker eens de NIEUWE STEMPELS opzoeken want ze zijn super.  Kijk al maar eens gewoon naar al die prachtige teksten... <3

It's no secret I love all of the Visible Image stamps and I love creating using their word stamps. That's no secret either ^.^ Today I focused on this "Own it" set. Beautiful words you can use just as they are. But they can be easily be combined...

Het is geen geheim dat ik een fan ben van de Visible Image stempels en ik creëer heel graag met hun woord stempels. Dat is ook niet echt een geheim ^.^ Vandaag focus ik me op de "Own it " set. Prachtige woorden die je gewoon kan gebruiken zoals ze zijn. Maar ze zijn ook super makkelijk op te splitsen om te combineren...

And of course this new text needed some color and the Face it stamps...

En natuurlijk moest hierbij een knallend ( althans voor mij) kleurtje bij en de "Face it" stempels...

Scars...Visible Image stamps new release

For my previous project I shared a video tutorial where I worked with one of the new word stamps Visible Image released called 'Scars'  Well today I would like to sneak in and show a second project I made using the same stamp ^.^ I can't help it...I just think it's such a beautiful stamp.
I needed some structure this time and ended up with this mixed media tag...

In de video tutorial die ik vorige week deelde liet ik zien hoe ik aan de slag ging met een van de nieuwe Visible Image tekst stempels die 'Scars' noemt. Vandaag wil ik graag een nieuw projectje laten zien met net dezelfde stempels ^.^    Ik kan er niet aan doen, ik vind het een prachtige tekst. 
Deze keer moest er gewoon wat structuur bij en ik eindigde met deze mixed media tag...

I gave my butterfly some scars using the crackle stamp from the 'Create it' set.

Ik gaf mijn vlinder zijn kleine littekens met de craqueleer stempel uit de 'Create it' set.

16 projects of 2016

The end of another year is approaching... so I thought it would be nice to look back and bring 16 projects together I have made this year. Looking back on how I filled this year creatively. I have brought them all together in this little video for you...

Het einde van het jaar komt er aan dus dacht ik dat het misschien wel leuk was om even terug te kijken op 16 projecten die ik maakte dit jaar. Even terugblikken hoe ik 2016 creatief invulde. Ik heb ze allemaal samen gegoten in dit filmpje...

And it only confirmed what I had been feeling... happy with what I have been creating, happy with the steps I took and the path I followed. I would like to say a genuine "Thank you!" to everybody that came and commented, liked my posts and started following me. 2017...will bring me a lot more creativity and new creative adventures that I'm looking forward to share with you ^.^

Even terugblikken heeft alleen maar bevestigd wat ik zelf voelde... tevreden met wat ik maakte, blij met de beslissingen die ik nam en helemaal blij met het pad dat ik volgde. 
Ik wil heel graag ook een welgemeende "Dank u!" zeggen aan iedereen die langskwam, een berichtje naliet, likes gaf of me begon te volgen. Hier op mijn blog, op facebook, pinterest, instagram of op mijn youtube channel ( alle links staan in de zijbalk ^.^ )
2017...wordt terug een creatief jaar en heeft een paar leuke creatieve uitdagingen in petto waar ik naar uitkijk om ze met jullie te delen  ^.^ 
Ik wens jullie allemaal ook graag een prachtige jaarwisseling en een super 2017.

Tiny heart...

I love this Visible Image stampset, it gives you so much possibilities.  I really wanted to put the tiny heart in the spotlight and I love how it worked out.

Ik vind deze stempelset van Visible Image geweldig, er zijn zoveel mogelijkheden met deze set. Voor dit kaartje wilde ik het kleine hartje in de schijnwerpers zetten en ik ben helemaal blij met het eindresultaat.

Now I needed a word to go along so... I just masked my sentiment leaving me nothing else but the you out of 'your' and I had it ^.^ I could have used the complete sentiment ( but I did that on another card ;-) ) or just the "Beautiful" or the "Be" or even write "Be you"...Lots of possibilities ^.^ I'll share some really soon ;-)

 Nu had ik nog een woord nodig om er bij te zetten...dus maskeerde ik gewoon mijn sentiment helemaal tot ik enkel de you overhield uit het woord "your". Ik had  natuurlijk ook het volledige tekstje kunnen gebruiken (maar die werd op een andere kaart gebruikt) of enkel de "Beautiful" of enkel "Be" of zelfs "Be you"... Je ziet genoeg mogelijkheden ^.^ Ik laat er jullie binnenkort nog een paar zien ;-)

A skull or a butterfly...

People who know me know I'm no flower girl. So I was over the moon when Visible Image brought out some stamps of skulls and skeletons. But I also know a lot of my followers aren't into skulls so it got me thinking.  So I made a video showing how you can create two different projects using the same techniques and just by choosing different colors and different stamps go into a different direction. Have fun with the video...

Wie me kent weet dat ik niet echt een bloementype ben. Ik was dus helemaal blij toen Visible Image stempels uitbracht van schedels en een skelet ^.^ Maar ik weet ook dat veel van mijn volgers niet echt graag schedels op hun kaarten verwerken en dat bracht me bij deze video. Hierin laat ik jullie graag zien hoe makkelijk je twee verschillende projecten maakt met dezelfde technieken maar enkel door je kleuren en stempelkeuze aan te passen dus een andere richting uit gaat. Veel plezier met het filmpje ...

Goodbye Kuretake DT...

I just received the news that the designteam of KuretakeUK ceases to exist.  I 'm proud to be able to say I was a member of this team but now it has come to an end. But before I say goodbye...just one more step by step ^.^
And of course I start by making my own background... using the Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors

Ik kreeg net het bericht dat het DT van KuretakeUK wordt opgeheven. Ik ben heel trots te mogen zeggen dat ik er deel van mocht uitmaken. Maar voor ik helemaal afscheid neem...nog een laatste stappenplan ^.^
En natuurlijk begin ik door zelf mijn achtergrondje te maken met de KuretakeGansai Tambi aquarelverf.

Next step is to stamp a text over my cardbase, just repeating it next to each other and in 3 rows underneath each other. It's a stamp from Prima-Finnabair and I used a Zig art and graphic marker to ink it up.

Daarna gebruik ik een stempel van Prima-Finnabair om een tekstje te stempelen over de breedte van mijn kaartbasis. Ik herhaalde hem gewoon elke keer naast elkaar en dat in drie rijen. Ik gebruik hierbij de Zig art and Graphic markers om mijn stempel te beinkten.

Next step is writing the word FLY and I used the Wink of Luna to do so.

Volgende stapje is het woord FLY schrijven en hiervoor gebruikte ik de zilveren Wink of Luna.

To get my word FLY to pop up more I gave it a fine black line on one side and shaded it using a simple graphite pencil.

Om mijn woord FLY er meer te laten uitspringen gaf ik het aan één zijde een zwart lijntje en met een gewoon grijs potlood gaf ik het wat schaduw.

And of course I needed a butterfly ^.^ So I colored a scrap piece using the black Wink of Stella that has a very beautiful sparkle when the light hits it. Once it was dry I punched out a tiny butterfly.

Nu moet er natuurlijk ook een vlinder bij ^.^  Daarvoor kleurde ik eerst een stukje papier met de zwarte wink of Stella die prachtig blinkt als het licht er op valt.  Eens die droog was ponste ik daaruit een heel klein vlindertje.

It was a pleasure being on the team and work with those lovely products. And I can assure you, you will still see them on a regular base as I like them a lot. But for now... on to new challenges ^.^

Het was heel leuk om in het team te zitten en te werken met de prachtige producten. En ik kan u nu al verklappen dat jullie ze zeker nog zien passeren want ik werk er heel graag mee. Maar nu... op naar nieuwe uitdagingen  ^.^

Starry watercolors...

Remember I introduced you to the Kuretake Starry Colors in THIS BLOGPOST?  Well, I had to go and play with them of course ^.^  And I made a little video about it where I combine the Gansai Tambi's and the Starry colors in this tag.
