One design five cards #3...

I needed a birthday card for a friend and this idea that I had in my mind with the new 'Somewhere in time' stamp set  was perfect for it. And after seeing the result I loved the card so much that I decided to make a new 'One design five cards' video. It had been way too long since I made one of these. So get ready because we will be inking a lot of stamps ^.^

Ik had laatst een verjaardagskaart nodig voor een vriendin en het ontwerp dat al een hele tijd in mijn hoofd spookte moest er nu toch uit. En toen ik klaar was vond ik het zo leuk geworden dat ik besloot om er een nieuwe '1 design 5 cards' video van te maken. Dat was trouwens al veel te lang geleden. Dus maak je klaar want we gaan heel wat stempels van inkt voorzien ^.^

I love this splatter as it is a perfect stamp to put something in the spotlight.  And just by changing the stamps you get cards for all different occasions ^.^  Oh and it fits just right into the challenge that is going on over at the Visible Image facebook group now too: 'A splash of colour'. I hope you come on over and play along.

So I promised I would be back with some more inspiration for this month's challenge over at Visible Image. Today I'm only using paper, some metal wire and a bit of gaze to add my structure...

Ik beloofde jullie dat ik terug kwam met wat meer inspiratie voor de uitdaging bij Visible Image. Vandaag bracht ik dimensie aan door gewoon papier, wat ijzerdraad en een beetje verband aan te brengen..

I stamped both words (past and future) and my sentiment on some thicker paper, cut it out to glue it back on again. Might sound a bit silly but it does help to create some depth ;-)

To put my word Future in the spotlight I layered it on top of a gear diecut ( two layers of 300 gsm watercolor paper) To ground this element I have put some bandage underneath that was secured again with some metal wire as I did with my sentiment.

Ik stempelde mijn woorden past- future en mijn quote op wat dikker papier, sneed ze uit en kleefde ze terug op. Klinkt wat idioot maar het helpt je op een simpele manier om diepte te creëren in je werkstuk ;-)

Om mijn woord Future in de spotlight te zetten bracht ik hem aan bovenop een uitgestanst tandwiel ( 2 lagen 300 gr aquarelpapier) En omdat dit element niet zomaar zou zweven op mijn project zette ik het op wat verband dat net als mijn sentiment met wat ijzerdraad werd vastgezet.

Yes, my future is looking very bright with this golden watercolors ^.^

Yep, mijn toekomst schittert mij tegemoet met de gouden aquarelverf ^.^

Now...this is just a first project with the new stamps Visible Image will be releasing on June 9th. Loads more to come as I have so many ideas in my head. You should go and CHECK THEM OUT as they open so many possibilities. Just go and read all those beautiful words...<3

Dit is pas mijn eerste projectje met de nieuwe stempels die Visible Image uitbrengt vanaf 9 juni.  Maar er komen er nog veel meer aan want mijn hoofd barst van de ideeën. Ga zeker eens de NIEUWE STEMPELS opzoeken want ze zijn super.  Kijk al maar eens gewoon naar al die prachtige teksten... <3

When I saw the Summer Release 2016 from Visible Image... this idea started growing in my head and I had so much fun creating it. Starting out with a plain wooden box that has a little window I ended up with a finished project that has a lot of meaning for me. I'm not going to tell you how I see it, what I was thinking making it. Everybody should fill it in, in their own way. But I can tell you that every structure and every single stamp was placed with a meaning, they all carry a little part of me.
I'm not going to put down every single picture here...I made to many ^.^ But I have put them together in a little video so take a look while I show you round the outside and the inside of my altered box...

Toen ik de Summer Release 2016 van Visible Image zag...begon er een idee te groeine in mijn hoofd en het was super om het te maken. Ik begon met een gewoon houten doosje met een raampje erin en eindigde met een projectje dat veel betekenis heeft voor mij. Ik ga niets vertellen hoe ik het zie, waar ik aan dacht toen ik het maakte. Iedereen legt zijn eigen gedachten maar neer bij het project. Maar ik kan wel zeggen dat elk deeltje structuur, elke stempel die verwerkt werd erin geplaatst is met een betekenis voor mezelf.  Ik ga niet alle foto's hier plaatsen, ik maakte er iets te veel ^.^ Maar ik heb ze samen gegoten in een kort filmpje waarbij ik jullie meeneem rondom mijn project, vanbinnen en vanbuiten...

#ColourJuly day 16...

They want to know what is up in "The Sky" today at the #colourJuly challenge over at KuretakeUK. I could have chosen to make a card with a bird but I decided to go and have me some fun making a "Veerle-card" ^.^

Ze zijn benieuwd wat jij in de lucht ziet vandaag bij de #ColourJuly uitdaging daar bij KuretakeUK. Ik kon natuurlijk voor een kaartje met vogels gaan maar ik besloot om wat te genieten en eens een echte "Veerle-kaart" te maken ^.^

Love this Deep Red stamp that is called Flying man.  And had to get some gears on this card too of course.

Deze stempel van Deep Red die Flying man heet is super. En natuurlijk moesten er een paar gears bij.

You don't need that much markers to get some color on this card. A couple Zig Clean Color Real brush markers and one Zig art and graphic marker to color in the textstamp I used to stamp on the background.

Helemaal niet zoveel nodig om deze kaart kleur te geven.  Een paar Zig Clean Color Real brush markers en één Zig art and graphic marker om mijn achtergrond tekststempel in te kleuren en af te drukken.

Tag: moving forward...

A while ago I had some fun making lots of tags using distress stains and today I wanted to show you one of them. It's a steampunky one using Tim Holtz stamps. How else to name it than " Moving forward."

Een tijdje geleden maakte ik een ganse reeks tags waarbij ik distress stains gebruikte en vandaag laat ik jullie eentje uit die reeks zien.  Het is een "steampunk" tag met allemaal Tim Holtz stempels, en de titel kon niet anders dan "Moving forward" zijn voor mij.

I had a lot of fun building these chipboard gears layer after layer...

Ik vond het heel leuk om deze gewone kartonnen gears laagje per laagje op te bouwen...
